"Luhan hyung, can you tell that person to hand me the remote? This show is boring" Tao folded his arms and glanced at Luhan who was giving him a weird look but knew better than to question the maknae at this time
"Uhm Kris, Tao asked you to give him the remote" Luhan said simply while munching on his popcorn
"Luhan, can you tell that kid no" Kris rolled his eyes and remained in the same position
"Tao, he said no" Luhan threw a piece of popcorn into his mouth with his eyes still glued to the TV
"Luhan hyung, can you tell that person he's being rude?"
"Kris he said you're being rude" Luhan said with a bored tone.
"Luhan, can you tell him i don't care?" Kris smirked
Luhan sighed, "Tao, he doesn't care"
"And tell him to stop being a brat, he can't always get what he wants"
"Tao he said -"
Tao stood up and glared at Kris with trembling lips, "Luhan hyung, can you tell him that he's a jerk?"
With that, Tao stormed into his and Xiumin's room. His eyes brimmed with tears.
Xiumin, the oldest of the group, tapped Luhan's shoulder and gave him a nod before following Tao into their room. Luhan understood what Xiumin was trying to say, stood up and went to sit next to the leader.
"What's up with you two?" Luhan nudged Kris, who didn't seem to care that he had hurt the maknae's feeling
Kris shrugged and answered without even facing Luhan, "Ask him"
Luhan sighed, "Yah, you're the leader, you're not supposed to act so childish!"
"It's not my fault, he's being a spoil brat!" Kris argued
"It doesn't matter, you know how sensitive he is" Luhan advised but Kris didn't seem to care, "He's probably crying his eyes out right now"
Kris paused for a moment before looking at Luhan, "I hate it when you're right"
He then stood up and walked toward Tao and Xiumin's room, leaving Luhan behind by himself. He stopped at the door when he heard sobbing noises coming from the room. He slowly peeked through, luckily they didn't close the door all the way.
"There there Tao, it's okay. Hyung's here" Xiumin said as he rubbed circles on Tao's back
Tao sat up straight and sniffed in as he wiped his own tears, "Why is he so mean to me hyung? Does he hate me?"
Xiumin sighed and patted the maknae's head, "Maybe because you keep spending his money and nag him to go places with you but no, i'm sure he doesn't hate you"
Tao looked up with trembling lips, "But -"
"Tao-ah, Kris is the leader, he has a lot of responsibilities, he's stressed so you have to understand"
"But hyung, i know that, that's why i asked him to go places with me, i want to help him relax a little" Tao pouted as he played with his fingers, "Plus, we don't get to spend time together anymore ... I miss him you know"
Xiumin nodded, "You can spend time with him here, at the dorm. Plus, don't ask him to buy you so much stuffs. Just because he's the leader doesn't mean he's a millionaire"
A wave of guilt crept over Kris as he heard what the younger said. So it was all because he wanted a little alone time with the leader, but it just sent a wrong message instead. Kris sighed and hated himself for snapping at Tao and being mean to him earlier. He knocked slightly on the door as he stepped in, Xiumin looked up at him while Tao buried his face in the pillows.
"Minseok, do you mind if i -"
Xiumin nodded and patted Kris's back before he could finish the sentence. Xiumin always know what to do, sometimes it made Kris wonder why they chose him to be the leader instead.
Kris sat down on the bed after Xiumin made his way out, he leaned over and patted Tao's back, "C'mon, look at me"
"Uh uh" Tao shook his head with his face still buried in the pillow
Kris sighed, "Fine, i just wanted to apologize but i guess you don't want to talk to me so i'll be going then ..."
Tao sat up immediately after hearing what the leader said, "You want to apologize?"
Kris smiled, "Now you wanna talk to me?"
"I'm sorry i was a jerk" Kris glanced over at the panda, "There's so much stuffs going on lately and my head is really -"
"Hyung, it's okay, i understand" Tao smiled back brightly
"You do?"
Tao nodded, "I know you're tired and i'm sorry for being so annoying, i just want to spend some alone time with you...."
Kris frowned and put his arms around the maknae, "You're not annoying!"
Tao's face lit up as a small smile crept on his face, "I'm not?" He asked hopefully
"Of course not, you're .... cute"
Tao looked down while playing with the hem of his shirt in attempt to hide his blushing face from the older, "You think i'm cute?"
Kris chuckled at Tao's sudden shyness, "Yeah, you're supper adorable!"
Tao could no longer hide his excitement, he let out a small giggle but was stopped when Kris lifted his chin up. The older's face was serious this time, he looked straight into the younger's eyes and spoke softly, "Hey, you know i love you right?"
Tao could feel his cheek getting hotter and hotter by the second, his lips curved up into a smile, "I know now" Suddenly, he leaned over and hugged Kris, his chin rested on the leader's shoulder, "I love you too hyung"
Kris smiled as he stood up and held Tao's hand, "C'mon let's go get some ice cream. Just the two of us"
Tao's face brighten up by the mention of ice cream but quickly stopped Kris before he headed to the door, "No hyung, let's stay here instead"
Kris tilted his head a little to the right and looked at Tao with confused eyes, "Are you sure?"
Tao nodded and pulled Kris on his bed, "I'm sure" Tao motioned for Kris to lay down, "You worked hard, let's just rest okay?"
Kris grabbed Tao's wrist and pulled the younger down to his embrace, "Since when do you care about me so much?" Kris teased
Tao hit his chest playfully while positioned himself next to Kris comfortably, "I always care about you"
Kris chuckled, "But you don't like ice cream anymore?"
"I do, but i don't want you to spend money on me like that. I know you don't have much money so better save it and buy me Gucci instead" Tao smirked, causing the leader's face to fell. Tao then leaned over and pecked him on the cheek, "I'm kidding"
Little did they know, all their moves were being monitored by none other than the 2 oldest members of Exo.
"Ugh, they're so cheesy!" Minseok said as he rubbed his arms
"Disgusting" Luhan grimaced, "Let's go Baozi, i don't think i can eat dinner tonight, i lost my appetite"
