Mai and Park Yoochun

"Aw sweetie, i can't come today. I'm very busy. Oh, i really have to go right now, I'll call you later, kay ?" The man said through the phone, trying to sounds like he's in a hurry but he was actually just sitting in his chair doing nothing.
Mai looked at her boss and thought 'Why is he always lying ? If he doesn't want to go with the girl then why can't he just say so ?'. Mai never understood why Yoochun was always lying, but she was in no position to ask him. After all, she was just his secretary.
"Mr.Park, I've done all the paper work, do you want me to do something else ?" Mai asked as she put all of the papers on Yoochun's desk.
Yoochun just looked at her with a bored face, "Go make me some coffee"
Mai bow before she headed out of the office. She came back 5 minutes later with the cup of coffee in her hand, "Sir, your coffee"
Yoochun took a sip of it and immediately spat it out, he made a face before turning to Mai "What the hell is this ? You expect me to drink this crap ?"
Mai's heart began to throb faster and faster by the seconds. She was sure to taste the coffee before giving it to him, it tasted just fine to her, "Sir, what's wrong with the coffee ?"
"You call this coffee ?" He yelled, "Go and make me another cup"
Mai nodded, took the cup on his desk and headed out. It was just so like Yoochun to do that, he always have to make things hard for others. Ever since the first day of work, Yoochun was already mean to her. But Mai didn't really mind, she was the type that would hold everything in rather then letting them out. Doesn't matter if she's sad or mad, she would keep her feelings to herself. And it doesn't matter how annoying or mean he is, Mai would still be fine with it. Why ? Well, because she was already in love with him from the start.
"Sir, your coffee" Mai handed him another cup of coffee, which he drank and spat out. The whole routine went on until Mai was on to the 10th cup.
"Damn it! Can't you do anything right ?!" Yoochun shouted "How hard can it be to make a cup of coffee ?"
"S..sorry sir" Mai looked down at her feet "I'll make you another one"
"Forget it" He said finally, "And get out"
Right after Mai left, Yoochun picked up the cup of coffee and drank it while smiling, "How Stupid". Truth is, nothing's wrong with the coffee, he just likes to make her suffer. Because that's the kind of person that he is.

"Hyoyeon unnie, what are you doing here?" Mai called out as her sister walked toward her.
"Ah, i was hanging out with some friends and i just wanted to see how you're doing"
"I'm fine unnie"
"Is he still a dick to you?"
Mai didn't answered and just looked down at her shoes. Hyoyeon immediately understood, "I'm gonna kick his ass"
Mai reached out and pulled her sister's arm, "Unnie ~, I'm fine, really. "
Hyoyeon sighed and gave up, "Mai-ah, what do you see in him anyway? He's a jerk who cares about no one but himself!"
Mai bit her lips and looked at her sister, "Hyoyeon unnie, i know, but i can't help it .... I'm in love with him"
Hyoyeon pulled Mai in and hugged her, "I know... but don't let him hurt you anymore, i don't like it"
"I'll be fine unnie, you should go with your friends now"
"Okay, I'll see you at home then"
"Okay, bye unnie"
What Mai didn't know was that Yoochun accidentally listened to the whole conversation. And he wasn't gonna make her life any easier.
"This chick's in love with me?" He smirked "Then i shall make her life even more miserable"
That's another thing about him. When he likes someone he'll make them fall for him, but when someone likes him, he'll end up making their lives miserable, no one really understand why he's like this, but that's just who he is.
Weeks past by, Yoochun would make Mai's life more and more miserable. He would constantly yell at her and making her do things.
"Mai, Get in here !" Yoochun shouted through the phone.
"Yes, Mr.Park ?" Mai closed the door behind her and stood next to his desk.
"There's a party at the Kim's company tomorrow, i want you to come with me" He said.
"Me ... ? But why ?" Mai was confused and didn't understand why he asked her, normally if there's a party he would take some hot girl or just go by himself so he can pick up some hot girls, but this time he asked her come.
"Since when do you question your boss ?"
"Uh i'm sorry " Mai said "Anything else mr.Park ?"
"Uhm, no. You can go now"
Mai bow before she walked out, but stopped when Yoochun called out "It's a costume party, so wear a costume.... and a mask...."
"Uh..yes sir"

"What ? A costume party ? And he asked you to come ?" Hyoyeon asked Mai while she was too busy looking for a good costume to wear.
"Yes unnie"
"Why so nice all of a sudden ?" Hyoyeon mumbled "Maybe you shouldn't go"
"Unnie ... he's my boss, how can i say no ?"
"Still, he's a dick. What if he has some other ideas ?"
"unnie, don't worry. I'll be fine" Mai took out a white dress and put it in front of her "Unnie, is this one okay ?"
"Yeah, it's nice" Hyoyeon "What are you gonna be anyway ?"
"Uhm, an angel ?"
Hyoyeon smiled and stood up "It's nice, i have the wings somewhere in my room, I'll get it for you"
Mai spent the whole morning putting on her outfit, the white dress, along with a white wings, a halo and a white mask. She swirled around and smile.
"Unnie, i'm going now" Mai called out to her sister before she head out the door.
"Be careful !" Hyoyeon shouted but Mai was long gone.
On the way to the party, Mai kept thinking about how Yoochun told her to come.
"Maybe, he felt bad about being so mean to me the past few weeks ?" Mai thought and smiled to herself.
When the car arrived at the Kim's company, Mai put her white mask on and got out. She walked to the Kim's company and everyone was staring at her. She kept on smiling and talked toward the room that Yoochun told her to come. She took a deep breath and opened the door. There wasn't much people for a big party, and what she noticed was they were all guys and they were .... laughing at her. Along with Yoochun.
"Told you she'll come. She's in love with me " Mai heard Yoochun said to one of his friends. Her jaw dropped, and at that moment she realized that Yoochun wasn't nice at all, he just wanted to turn her into a laughing stock for his friends. Mai turned around and ran as fast as she could.

Yoochun stood there laughing with his friends. But there was a strange feelings, he was laughing but he wasn't exactly happy. It was almost like he felt, guilty. Why is that ? He wondered.

Mai ran and ran as fast as she could. Tears kept flowing out of her eyes until her eyes were all blurry. She collapsed on the floor of a small alley, she cried and cried her heart out. She had never been so hurt in her entire life. After she had ran out of tears to cry, she decided to walk home.
"Mai ! What happened ?" Hyoyeon cried out.
Upon hearing her sister's voice, Mai ran into Hyoyeon's arms, and all the tears she thought were gone immediately came flooding back, "Unnie "
"What happened ?"
"He..he.. he knew " He sobbed uncontrollably.
"C'mon, let's sit down first" Hyoyeon helped Mai to the couch and sat down next to her "So, what happened ?"
Mai told her everything while sobbing. Hyoyeon didn't know what to do but to hug her sister, "It's okay Mai, one day Karma will come and bite him in the ass"
Mai just nodded and lied her sister's arms all night. Every time she think about what Yoochun did to her, she just couldn't help but cry.

"What is this ?" Yoochun asked when Mai handed him a white envelope.
"My resignation letter" Mai mumbled.
"You want to quit ?" He scoffed and Mai nodded "Just because of a little joke ?"
The thought of what happened yesterday quickly popped into Mai's head, and a tear slowly escaped from her eyes. She quickly wiped them away, refused to let Yoochun see "I'll be going now sir" She said and headed out the door.
"Did she just cry ?" Yoochun asked himself
Few days after Mai resigned, Yoochun actually spent his time thinking about what he had done. And he actually felt guilty.
"Alysa !" He called the new secretary in.
"Yes, mr.Park ?"
"I need you to find the address of Mai, the former secretary"
"Uh .... "
"Go ask someone, hurry up !" He ordered.

* Ding dong*
The bell rang and Yoochun stood there in front of the house, waiting impatiently. Soon enough, a girl opened the door. But it wasn't Mai.
" Hi, i'm here to see Mai " Yoochun said.
"Oh, you're Park Yoochun right ?" Hyoyeon asked.
"Ah yes"
"One minute" Hyoyeon smiled, "Mai-ah !"
"Yes unnie " Mai's voice come out from inside of the house.
"Don't come out okay ? Just stay where you are" Hyoyeon shouted then turned back to faced Yoochun who was staring at her with confused eyes, "Hm, Yoochun. You and i are going to have a little talk"
"Uhm, okay ... but i need to see Mai right now" Yoochun said, trying to get through but was stopped by Hyoyeon.
"You're not going anywhere buddy, you hurt my sister and now i'm gonna hurt you !"
"Uh ... what .... ?"
"How dare you ! How can you hurt her like that you dick ? I'm gonna - "
"Unnie !" Mai cut in, "Unnie, just go inside, i'll deal with this"
Hyoyeon turned to face Mai "You sure ?"
Mai nodded, "Yes unnie"
Before Hyoyeon left, she made sure to give Yoochun a warning look.
"What are you doing here ?" Mai asked bluntly.
"Uhm ... " Yoochun tried to find something to say, "How's it going ?"
"What are you doing here ?" Mai repeated.
"Just want to see how you're doing ... "
"Since when do you care ?"
Yoochun's heart started to beat a bit faster, he didn't know why he was like this. And he wasn't sure when he started to care, "Uhm, i don't know. Few days ago maybe ?"
Mai didn't know how to react, she just stood there and stared at him. Yoochun slowly moved closer to her, "Hey" He said softly, "I'm ... uh ... sorry .... "
"You're sorry ?" Mai asked, not believing what she just heard.
"yes, I'm uhm sorry. I went.. too.. far"
"But ... you're Yoochun! You're never sorry !"
Yoochun looked down at his feet, "I know.... and this is actually the first time i apologize and mean it"
A small smile slowly formed on Mai's face, "But why ?"
"I don't really know why, But i think someone kinda changed me .. " His voice slowly trailed off.
"So, what do you want me to do ?"
"How about go back to work ?"
Mai hesitated "Uhm, i'll think about it"
"Okay. But in the mean time, how about a nice dinner with me ? I'd like to make up for all of the horrible things that I've done to you." He said hopefully.
"Sure, I'd like that" She smiled.
Mai knew maybe she shouldn't trust him but at that moment, there was something in his voice telling her that he has changed. Maybe. Hopefully.
