Geum chinhae and Onew

"Hey, where's Chinhae ?" Onew nudged his friend Jonghyun, who was stuffing his mouth with ramen noodles.
"How would i know ?" Jonhyun replied with his mouth full.
"She's been acting really weird lately ... wonder what's up with her ?"
Jonghyun swallowed the ramen noodles and took a sip of water before he ask Onew "What do you mean ?"
"Well, she's been really quiet and we haven't seen her in a few days "
"She's always quiet, i'm sure she's fine" Jonghyun assured his friend and went back to the ramen noodle.
"Do you think she's mad at me ?"
"Wae wuld sh be moa ?" Jonghyun swallowed the noodles and almost choked "Why would she be mad at you ?"
"Don't you remember ?"
Jonhyun just raised his eyebrows and stared at Onew, confusion was written all over his face.
Onew sighed "Remember last week when a guy asked her out and i told him she wasn't interested in him before she get the chance to ?"
Jonghyun still had that confusion look on his face but he nodded anyway. "But i don't think she's mad at you because of that, she wasn't interested in the guy anyway"
"You think so ?" Onew asked, feeling a bit relieve.
"Yeah, don't worry too much kid" Jonghyun patted Onew's head "Can i ask you a question though ?"
Onew reached out for Jonghyun's bowl of noodles and started to eat them "Sure"
"Why is it that every time someone asks her out, you always tell them that she's not interested ?"
Upon hearing Jonhyun's question, Onew spat the noodles onto his face and started to choked. His face was starting to turn red.
"Ew, gross, damn it Onew. Look at what you did to my beautiful face !" Jonghyun hissed at his friend and use a napkin to wipe his face "Anyway, answer my question"
"It's just that ..i - uh-i - i -i - uh... " Onew stuttered, not knowing what to say. He had a crush on Chinhae for God knows how long. Luckily, he saw Chinhae walking through the door "Hey, Chinhae's here"
Onew and Jonghyun waved at Chinhae with a bright smile on their face, but she didn't wave back. Instead, she kept a straight face and walked fast toward them. Onew and Jonghyun looked at each other and shrugged. At least she's here now.
"Hey Chinhae " Onew greeted.
"Lee Jinki" Chinhae spoke, still kept a straight face. Onew and jonghyun's eyes widen. She never called Onew Jinki unless he's in trouble or she's being really serious. "This saturday. You. Me. Date."
Onew and Jonghyun were just staring at Chinhae, not sure what just happened. Did she just ask Onew out ?
"Uh.. did you just -" Onew started but Chinhae cut him off.
"That's right. Date with me ?"
"uh--u--uh, sure ... "
"Cool" She said and sat next to Jonghyun, who was still in shock.
After Chinhae's ... confession. Onew and Chinhae started to talk more and they texted each other almost everyday. Onew would send Chinhae goodnight and good morning texts. They acted like they were a couple even though they haven't been on their date yet.
But days pass by, and it was finally Saturday. Chinhae put on a pretty pink dress and a bit of makeup. She made sure she looks great for her date with Onew before she head out the door. The two finally met up in front of the movie theater. Though they're both in college and they've been best friend for so long, they still acted like some teenage kids who just saw their crush in the hall way. They both were quiet and blushing like crazy.
Onew decided to broke the awkwardness "Chinhae ... You-uh-look-so-pretty-today.... I mean you're- a..always pretty... Today..just.. extra- pretty"
'Damn it onew, she's gonna think you're an idiot now.' Onew thought.
Chinhae couldn't help but blush even more, she stared at the ground and played with her feet. "T..thanks, you look very handsome too"
Onew giggled. He tried to act cool but his heart was beating so fast, like it was about to pop out. "Should we go in ?"
Chinhae smiled and they both went in the movie theater. They were enjoying the movie, Onew was about to make the first move. He reached out to hold Chinhae's hand, that was when he felt something on his head. He touched his head and found popcorn in his hair.
'What the hell ?' He thought. 'Maybe it's just some little kid messing with him'
He let it go and tried to make the first move again, but then another popcorn landed on his head. Onew hissed under his breath.
Sensing something was wrong, Chinhae leaned over. "Are you okay ?"
"I think someone was throwing popcorn at me "
"What ?" Chinhae looked back but she couldn't see anything. It was just too dark. "Are you sure ?"
"Well, yeah... How would you explain popcorn magically appear on my head?"
Chinhae giggled at Onew's comment. "Let's just ignore it and enjoy the movie okay ?"
"Okay"
Through out the movie, more and more popcorn landed on Onew's head. He was getting pissed but he didn't want to ruin the date so he ignore it. By the time the movie ended, Onew had enough popcorn to fill up the whole bucket.
"Ready to go ?" Chinhae stood up from the chair.
"Yeah, let's get out of here"
They decided to go to an Italian's restaurant next. Onew was happy they were not in the movie theater anymore, he was sure his head smell like butter and it was greasy as hell. But he ignored it for the sakes of his date.
"Shall we order ?" Onew asked Chinhae who was still flipping through the menu.
"Su-" before she could answer, someone interrupted her.
"Onew oppa ?" A pretty girl in a mini skirt headed toward Onew and Chinhae. Both Onew and Chinhae raised their eyebrows and stared at the girl.
"Uhm, who are you ?" Onew cleared his throat.
The girl giggled "Oppa ! Stop playing, don't act like you don't know me. We were on a date yesterday remember ?"
Onew's eyes widen. He looked at Chinhae and then the girl and then Chinhae and then back at the girl again, his head was shaking continuously. "W-what are you talking about ?" He asked the girl and then turned back to Chinhae "I swear i didn't go on a date with her before. I don't even know who she is"
"Oppa, stop playing" The girl pushed Onew gently, and then looked at Chinhae "Who's this ? your sister ?"
"Uhm no, she's my date. And seriously who are you ?"
Chinhae was starting to get annoyed at this girl. Who is she really ? Chinhae stared at the girl and finally something hit her.
"Hey, you look very familiar, i think i know you" chinhae said to the girl.
"You do ?" Both Onew and the girl said at the same time.
"Yeah... I've seen you before .... At ... Minho's oppa party .... You're that chick.... " Chinhae trailed off when she realized something. "That Choi Minho, he's dead to me !"
Chinhae started to look around the restaurant, causing Onew to be really confused. She stood up when she saw someone suspicious, and i mean really suspicious. I mean who would read newspaper with 2 holes in them ? Chinhae slowly walked toward the person. Onew was still staring at her, not knowing what's going on. He was shocked when Chinhae took the newspaper out of the person's hands and threw them on the table. He was even more shocked to see Minho, Chinhae's cousin sitting there.
"Choi Minho, what do you think you're doing ?" Chinhae asked Minho furiously.
Minho laughed nervously "Chinhae ! Cousin! What are you doing here ? i didn't see you there, how's life ?"
Chinhae stared at Minho like she's about to kill him. "My mom told you i'm on a date didn't she ?"
Minho sighed "Yeah ... "
"Damn it Minho, why are you doing this ?"
Minho sighed again "You know i don't like it when you're going out with boys ... You can't trust them you know"
"Oppa, i know what i'm doing. You don't have to worry about me"
"Chinhae-ah, i know you. You're too innocent. Boys will take advantage of you"
"Oppa, i'm not innocent. And i'm 19 , i think it's about time i go on a date with someone i like."
"I guess... You're right .... i'm sorry"
"Okay oppa, can you get that girl out of here please"
"Alright"
"Wait oppa. Was it you who threw popcorns at Onew ?"
Minho scratched his head nervously. "Uhm...no .... "
"Oppa .... ?"
"I swear i didn't !"
Chinhae still didn't buy it, she kept on staring at Minho until she get an answer out of him. Minho finally gave up. "I really didn't..... I just hired a kid to do it!"
Chinhae gasped and hit Minho's arm "Oppa ! Gosh, you're unbelievable! I want you to go over there and appologize to Onew oppa and take that girl out of here!"
"Fine" Minho pouted and followed Chinhae.
"What's going on?" Onew asked as chinhae and Minho walked toward him.
"Hey, dude. Look, i'm sorry i hired a kid to throw popcorn at you and made you hair smell like butter and greasy as hell. And i'm sorry for trying to ruin your date. It's just Chinhae's my cousin you know, i just wanted to look out for her."
"Uhm, it's fine... it's cool" Onew replied, slowly catching up.
"Well, i guess i'll leave you to alone then." Minho said. And before he left, Minho leaned in Onew's ear and whispered "If you hurt her, i'll kill you"
After Minho left, Chinhae sighed with relieve. "Sorry about that Onew, he's just really protective of me. I'm sorry for ruined our date"
Without hesistation, Onew moved toward Chinhae and held her hands in his. "It wasn't ruined. Not totally. The day's still young. Plus i didn't care about the date that much, all i wanted was to be with you."
His words made her heart fluttered. She smiled at him and moved closer to his body. The two stared into each others' eyes, and slowly Onew leaned in and landed a kiss on her lips.
